The Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card is issued immediately at any Piraeus Bank branch. You are not required to open an account or get any other product. You can use your Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card straightaway.


Versatile

Alternatively, you can use it in case you want to cover with a card temporary payment needs up to €150, but you do not have the supporting documents for the issuance of a credit, debit or prepaid reloadable card.

is a Chip & PIN card. Use it to shop at any physical store accepting Mastercard® in Greece*, until you have used up all the available balance. The maximum available balance is €150.




Non-reloadable

You can only load the Prepaid Gift Card once, and only upon issuing, by depositing cash at any Piraeus Bank branch cashier. The card can neither be reloaded nor unloaded. For your convenience, you may upgrade it to a Piraeus Prepaid Reloadable Card for free, keeping the same card and details. To upgrade it, visit any Piraeus Bank branch to submit the required supporting documents.

Transactions

Use your Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card

24/7 to shop at physical stores that display the Mastercard® logo in Greece, until you have used up the available balance. There is no limit to the number of transactions you can make. It also accepts refunds if you need to return products you have bought using it.



Direct debit

The Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card is a prepaid card. It is neither a credit nor a debit card. It is not linked to any deposit account. Each transaction you make is directly debited to your card, until you have used up all the available balance. The maximum available balance is €150. No interest is charged to any of the transactions. Unless there are sufficient funds, transactions cannot be completed.

How to get a Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card

To get a Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card, you do not have to be a Piraeus Bank customer.

You can issue it at any Piraeus Bank branch in Greece in just a few minutes. You just need to show you ID card or passport and give your Greek mobile phone number.

 1.  Your Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card is issued and loaded.


 2.  You then receive it immediately, along with the PIN. This is necessary for your transactions.

Your Prepaid Gift Card is activated on the spot. You can then use it to shop at any physical store accepting Mastercard® in Greece, until you have used up the available balance.

If you are a Piraeus Bank’s customer it is possible that the identification documents you have provided to the Bank may not be valid as they are outdated. In this case you have to provide us with the necessary updated documentation.
