I forgot / blocked my Piraeus e-banking password

If you have activated the SMS extraPIN feature and you know your username but don't remember your password, you can reissue your password by starting the process from here.

In any case, password reissuance continues to be provided through the bank's branch network.

Piraeus instant cash is a free of charge service that allows you to make a withdrawal from any Piraeus Bank ATM without a card.
You can create a Piraeus instant cash code at Piraeus e-banking and Piraeus app. You will receive a Piraeus instant cash code at the extraPIN mobile you have declared at Piraeus Bank and you can make a cash withdrawal from any Piraeus Bank ATM. Prerequisite for cash withdrawal is that you have downloaded the Piraeus app on your mobile.

What is the difference between Piraeus instant cash and withdrawing cash with my debit card?

When you opt for the Piraeus instant cash service,

  • you don't need a card to withdraw cash.
  • the cash withdrawal limit is independent of your debit card limit. This means that you can withdraw cash using the service even if you have reached the daily withdrawal limit of your card.
  • by creating a cash withdrawal code via the Piraeus e-banking you can debit any account you hold at the bank, not only those linked to your debit card.

What are the prerequisites for using the Piraeus instant cash service?

You need to:

  • have a bank account with Piraeus Bank.
  • be registered with Piraeus e-banking.
  • have the Piraeus app on your mobile phone.

How can I create an instant cash code?

To easily create a cash withdrawal code you have the following options:

  • Via the Piraeus e-banking:

- Login, select Transfers >  Send instant cash

- Set your billing account and the amount of the withdrawal.

- Set the validity period of the cash withdrawal code (from 1 hour to 24 hours).

 

  • Via the Piraeus app:

- Log in to the app

- From the account you want the withdrawal to be charged to, select Transact > Send instant cash.

- Set the amount of the withdrawal.

How can I get the cash withdrawal code?

You will receive the cash withdrawal code by SMS on the mobile phone you have registered with the bank.

Can I withdraw cash if there is not enough available balance in my account?

No. When you create a cash withdrawal code, a check is made to see if there is a sufficient balance in the account you have set up to be charged.

How can I cancel a cash withdrawal code?

If you have not withdrawn cash, you can cancel the cash withdrawal code via:

  • the Piraeus e-banking: Login to the application. Select → Transfers → Instant Cash History → Cancel
  • the Piraeus app: Log in to the app. Select → Search → Filters → Executed transactions → Instant Cash

The validity period of the cash withdrawal code has expired. Can I withdraw cash?

No. Cash withdrawals can only be made within the validity period of the cash withdrawal code you have set.

Why did the ATM cancel the cash withdrawal code before the expiry date without me withdrawing cash?

At the ATM, fill in the cash withdrawal code and the exact amount you have set. If you enter any of the above three times incorrectly, the cash withdrawal code is invalidated and you can no longer use it to withdraw cash.

I lost or forgot my cash withdrawal code. What should I do?

There is no way to retrieve the cash withdrawal code. If you want to withdraw cash using Piraeus instant cash you will need to create a new cash withdrawal code. Attention! If you suspect that your cash withdrawal code has been leaked to a third party, cancel your order according to the instructions above.

I have reached the debit card withdrawal limit. Can I make a cash withdrawal using the Piraeus instant cash?

Yes, as long as there is a sufficient available balance in your account.

Why a cash withdrawal using Piraeus instant cash service has failed at the ATM?

For one or more of the following reasons:

  • The validity period of the cash withdrawal code has expired.
  • You entered the cash withdrawal code incorrectly 3 times.
  • You mistyped 3 times the amount you specified for the cash withdrawal.
  • There is not a sufficient balance in the account you have designated to withdraw cash.
  • The ATM has no money to serve you.

Is a third party allowed to withdraw cash using my cash withdrawal code?

No. The cash withdrawal code is provided for your personal use only.

1. Find the Piraeus instant cash service via Piraeus e-banking:

  • Piraeus e-banking from the menu Transfers > Cash withdrawal instant cash
  • Piraeus app from the menu Transactions > Instant cash

2. Select:

  • the amount you want to withdraw (up to €600 per day, €1,800 per month)
    The amount you have set will not be ceased from your account. Your account will be charged only at cash withdrawal (if there are sufficient funds).
  • your account at Piraeus Bank that will be charged with the withdrawal
  • the time Piraeus instant cash will be valid (from 1 hour up to 24 hours)

3. Accept the terms.

4. Confirm the data and select "Finish".

5. Approve the transaction with quick login.

6. You will receive the code on your mobile phone that is declared at Piraeus Bank. The Piraeus instant cash code is exclusively for your own use.

How to withdraw cash

Use the Piraeus instant cash code and scan the QR code through the Piraeus app at any Piraeus Bank ATM.

With the Piraeus instant cash code you can withdraw cash:

  • only for the exact amount you have set
  • only within the time limit you have set for the Piraeus instant cash code

Steps

1. Enter the code and the amount of the withdrawal on the ATM screen.

2. Scan the QR code that appears on the ATM screen by selecting the scan icon from the Piraeus app login screen and approve the transaction.

3. Select the confirm button on the ATM screen to complete the transaction.

If the deadline of the Piraeus instant cash code expires before the cash withdrawal is made, your account will not be charged.
