How do I install the Piraeus app?

Download the Piraeus app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) or App Gallery (Huawei) by typing Piraeus app and click Get (iOS) or Install (Android) or Install (Huawei).

I forgot / blocked my Piraeus e-banking password

If you have activated the SMS extraPIN feature and you know your username but don't remember your password, you can reissue your password by starting the process from here.

In any case, password reissuance continues to be provided through the bank's branch network.

What do you need?

How to add a card

1. In the "Garmin Connect™" application menu select "Devices"

  • Choose the Garmin watch you want to add your card to
  • Then select "Garmin Pay". Alternatively, in the "Garmin Connect™" application menu, select "Garmin Pay".

They will guide you through the creation of a 4-digit passcode which will be used for your purchases.

3. Complete the process

Complete the process by entering to the application the One Time Password (OTP) that you will receive by SMS on the mobile phone which you have declared to the Bank.

Which Garmin devices are compatible with Garmin Pay?

How are my payments protected?

You can make your purchases securely by adding your cards to Garmin Pay. For each card you add, a unique digital token number is assigned for that device, and your actual card number is not stored on the device or servers and is not shared with merchants.

Please note that the receipt issued after each successful transaction you make will display the unique digital number (token) you use for your Garmin Pay transactions.

Is there a charge for using Garmin Pay?

No, there is no charge from Piraeus Bank for the registration of its cards or their use for Garmin Pay transactions.

Can I add any Piraeus Bank card to Garmin Pay;

All Piraeus Bank Visa and Mastercard® cards (debit, credit, prepaid reloadable) for individual or business/corporate cardholders can be added to Garmin Pay.

In particular, you can add up to 10 cards to Garmin Pay.

How do I add a card to Garmin Pay;

You can add your card to Garmin Pay via the Garmin Connect™ app by following simple steps.

  • Download the Garmin Connect™ app.
  • Select Garmin Pay and follow the instructions on your screen.
  • You will then be asked to create a 4-digit passcode, which will be used for your purchases.
  • The process is completed by entering in the Garmin Connect™ app the unique OTP code that you will receive on the mobile phone number that you have registered with the bank.

I haven't received my physical card yet, can I add it to Garmin Pay?

No. You need to have received your card and activated it before you can add it.

In case you wish to remove a card from Garmin Pay and then add it again, you will need to follow the process of adding a card from the beginning.

Can I see my recent transactions with Garmin Pay?

Yes. You can view recent transactions for each of your cards in the Garmin Connect™ app.The transaction information is not visible on the watch.

For the full history of transactions you can visit Piraeus e-banking or the Piraeus app.

Can I make a contactless payment with Garmin Pay without my device being connected to the internet?

Yes, an internet connection is not necessary to make contactless transactions with Garmin Pay, and you do not need to have your mobile device nearby.

How do I know that my contactless transaction with Garmin Pay was successful?

Each transaction via Garmin Pay is considered complete upon issuance of a receipt, where provided, for the amount of the transaction that occurred.

Do I retain the card privileges provided by my card when I pay with Garmin Pay?

Yes. With Garmin Pay transactions, you retain the privileges provided by each card you use.

Can I pay in interest-free instalments on my card via Garmin Pay?

With Garmin Pay, you can pay in up to 12 interest-free installments on your Piraeus Visa credit card, at merchants in Greece that offer special interest-free installment programs. 

If you have a Piraeus Mastercard® credit card, for transactions with interest-free installments at the merchant’s point of sale, you can use your physical credit card. Alternatively, learn more about the “Transactions Split into Installments” service here

 

 

 

Can I make contactless transactions at ATMs with Garmin Pay?

Yes, if your card allows ATM transactions, you can use Garmin Pay to make contactless cash withdrawals and balance inquiries at ATMs that have contactless transaction functionality by charging the card (in the case of credit and prepaid cards) or the card's main linked account (in the case of debit cards).

Is there a limit to the transaction amount I can use via Garmin Pay?

No, you can transact up to your card limit.

I cannot complete the addition of my card, what can I do?

If for any reason you cannot complete the addition of your card or if you did not receive the unique OTP code sent to you by SMS, you will need to remove the card from Garmin Pay and repeat the addition process from the beginning. If you are having trouble verifying your card, make sure you have added all the required information correctly.

If you are still unable to complete the process, you can contact Customer Service at 210 3288000.

 

My Garmin smartwatch is lost/ stolen, what should I do?

If your watch is lost or stolen, you can suspend or delete your card from the Garmin Connect app on your phone. These options are available in the main menu of Garmin Pay and can be selected without the watch being connected. See here for detailed instructions on how to manage your cards in Garmin Pay.

Alternatively, in case your device had Piraeus Bank cards registered in Garmin Pay, please contact Customer Service at 210 3288000.

What happens if my Garmin device is replaced?

You will need to reset the original factory settings of the Garmin device you are changing to delete the cards you have registered with Garmin Pay. You will then need to repeat the process of adding a card to your new Garmin device.
