All Gold Bars are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity stating the unique production number and are available in multiples of 5 grams. Gold bars up to 100 grams are offered laminated in an elegant fabric pouch, while bars over 100 grams are offered in a luxury case.

Transactions above 30 Gold Sovereigns and more than 60 Half Gold Sovereigns are carried out at a special rate offered by Piraeus Bank.

The purchase and sale of Gold Bars, to the investing public, up to 300 grams, is carried out on the basis of the Banknote and Currency Bulletin issued daily.


Transactions over 300 grams are carried out at a special price offered by Piraeus Bank.

The purchase of other gold coins by the investing public is priced in according with out on the basis of the Banknote and Currency Bulletin issued daily.

The value of investment gold is subject to the fluctuation of the gold price [USD/oz] and the EUR/USD exchange rate on international markets. Therefore, investing in gold products involves price risk.

Piraeus Bank undertakes the authenticity check and the valuation of the investment gold. The cost of the service is based on the Piraeus Bank's Tariff of Fees.  The authenticity check of the gold is carried out either in your presence, or by its safe transport through the bank's branches. The valuation is carried out by a special appraiser and advanced technology spectrographs, at Piraeus Bank's premises in Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion, Crete.

In special premises in Athens, the expert appraiser examines the investment gold, separates it into acceptable and unacceptable and decides on its authenticity and value. In order to make an appointment at the special places you must first visit the shop that serves you.

Since 2010, Piraeus Bank has been offering a safe-keeping service, which takes place in special facilities in Athens. The service is offered regardless of whether the investment gold has been sourced from Piraeus Bank.

In case the gold does not come from Piraeus Bank, it is necessary to carry out the valuation procedure. The storage cost is based on the Piraeus Bank's Tariff of Supplies.

The investment gold safekeeping service reduces the risks of receipt, transportation, storage and eventual delivery. It also facilitates immediate liquidation and ensures that the quality of the gold is not compromised due to deterioration.
