Issuing debit cards

1. Apply through Piraeus e-banking: 

• Piraeus web banking: select Cards > Debit > e-card Debit card issuing or from the category Purchases & Applications > e-card > Debit card issuing.
• Piraeus app: select New products > Debit cards or from the category Cards > e-card > Debit Cards > Issue card.

2. Alternatively, visit a Piraeus Bank branch:

• request a debit card issue and you receive it in a few minutes, together with the PIN and you can use it immediately for all your transactions.

Conditions

• To obtain a Piraeus Bank debit card you must have a bank account.
• If you want to get it through Piraeus e-banking, you must be a registered user.
• Find out about the documents that you need to submit to us if you are not a Piraeus Bank customer or if you are a customer and your documents need to be updated due to missing or old documents.

Issuing credit cards

1. Apply through Piraeus e-banking: 

• Piraeus web banking: select Cards > Credit > e-card or from the category Purchases & Applications > Bank Products > e-card
• Piraeus app: select Cards > e-card > Credit cards

2. Select the card with the help of the tool that allows you to:

• • be informed about the products available and their features
  • choose the product that best meets your needs

3. Confirm the information requested, attach the necessary supporting documents and submit the application.

4. The bank proceeds immediately with the evaluation.

5. Upon approval, proceed with signing the terms under “Remote signing” section, by using an electronic signature, which requires the issuance of a Certificate Approved Electronic Signature Use. This certificate is provided to you free of charge, upon your request by an affiliated partner.

6. The signed terms are sent to you by e-mail from the bank. 

7. The card is sent by mail to the address you have selected.

At each step of the process, you will be notified via SMS to your registered mobile phone and via notifications in Piraeus e-banking.

Alternatively, you can visit any Piraeus Bank branch.

1. Fill in the application

 For the issuance of a Piraeus credit card in a branch, you fill in the application with your details:

• • Personal details
  • Contact details
  • Professional details
  • Financial details

2. Sign the application you submitted to a branch

You must have the supporting documents certifying the information in your application, such as:

• • ID card, passport or any other form of ID
  • A recent tax clearance certificate
  • The latest payroll receipt (if you are an employee)
  • The quarterly pension statement or the latest pension receipt (if you are a pensioner)

3. Piraeus Bank examines your application based on the credit policy and the supporting documents you submitted. Once it is approved, your card is being issued and sent to the branch you selected in your application form. The branch notifies you, when you can receive your card. It usually takes 5 to 10 working days to approve your application and issue your card.

4. You receive your card along with the relevant terms and conditions.

5. In order to use your card, you will need your PIN. You may ask its immediate issuance at the bank branch or set it via Piraeus e-banking.

6.  Your card is not activated. In order to use it, you have to activate it first at any Piraeus Bank ATM using the PIN you set.

Issuing a WEBUY card

Get the WEBUY card

If you are a Piraeus Bank customer, you can issue a WEBUY card instantly and free of charge, through:

1. Piraeus web banking

• • Select from the menu Cards > Issue WEBUY.

2. Piraeus app

• • Select from the menu New products > Issue card > Prepaid WEBUY.
  • Select the daily purchase limit you want and click "Next".
  • Accept the terms of use.
  • You will receive the extraPIN on your mobile phone with the CVC2 security code.

Issuing prepaid cards

Get the Prepaid Reloadable Card

1. If you are not a Piraeus Bank customer:

• present the necessary documents at any Piraeus Bank branch
• you are not required to open an account or get any other product.
• you will receive your card and PIN immediately
• once you load it at the branch cashier, you can use it straightaway until you have used up all the available balance.

2. If you are a customer of Piraeus Bank:

Just show your ID card and within a few minutes you receive your reloadable card.

3. If you already have a Piraeus Prepaid Gift Card:

• upgrade it at any Piraeus Bank branch
• if you are not a Piraeus Bank customer, you must submit the required supporting documents and if you are a Piraeus Bank customer, just show your ID card

This way, you will enjoy all the benefits of the Piraeus Prepaid Reloadable Card, keeping the details of the non-reloadable card you already had.

Get the KEA Prepaid Visa card

The card is issued in the name of the beneficiary, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Labour, Social security and Welfare.

• The card is mailed as inactive, to the address that the beneficiary stated at his application to receive the allowance, accompanied by a letter with instructions for its activation.
• The card can be activated 24/7/365 via ATM, via Piraeus e-banking or via phone call at +30 210 32 88 000 from Greece and abroad.
• The Personal Identification Number (PIN) of the card is sent to the same address, by registered mail.
