Debit card application procedure

You can apply online via Piraeus e-banking, if you are a registered user. If you do not have Piraeus e-banking codes, you can easily and quickly obtain them here.

Via Piraeus e-banking

1. Select

• from the Maps menu. Debit > e-card - Debit issuance
• or from the Purchases & Applications. Banking Products > e-card

2. Choose the card that meets your needs and click "Version".

  3. Fill in the fields and click "Continue".

4. Confirm the information requested, attach the necessary documents and submit the application.

Via Piraeus app

1. Select from the menu Cards > e-card > Debit cards.

2. Choose the card that meets your needs and click "Card version".

3. Confirm the data and click "Next".

4. Select the necessary items, accept the terms and conditions and click "Next".

5. Click on "Card issuance" and fill in the quick login PIN.

Your application has been sent to the bank. From now on, at each step of the process, you will receive information via SMS to the mobile phone you have registered and via notifications in Piraeus e-banking.

Credit card application process

You can apply online via Piraeus e-banking, if you are a registered user. If you do not have Piraeus e-banking codes, you can easily and quickly obtain them here.

Via Piraeus e-banking

  1. Select

• from the menu Cards > Credit > e-card - Credit card issuance
• or from the Purchases & Applications. Banking Products > e-card

2. Choose the card that meets your needs and click "Version".

3. Fill in the fields and click "Continue".

4. Confirm the information requested, attach the necessary documents and submit the application.

5. Check the progress of the application from the menu Cards > Credit.

Via Piraeus app

1. Select from the menu Cards > e-card > Credit cards.

2. Choose the card that meets your needs and click "Card version".

3. Inquire about the forms needed and click "Start".

4. Confirm the data and click "Next".

5. Select the requested credit limit, configure the card settings and click "Next".

6. Fill in the necessary information and click "Next".

7. Upload the files, read your status as a Sensitive Counterparty and click "Next".

8. Accept the terms and conditions and click "Finish".

9. Click on "Card issuance" and fill in the quick login PIN.

After submitting your application

1. The bank proceeds immediately with the evaluation of the application you have submitted.

2. If your application is approved, you will receive a notification. In the "Remote signing" section, sign the terms with an approved electronic signature.

Electronic signature requires the issuance of an approved single-use electronic signature certificate. This is provided to you free of charge by an approved trust service provider that works with the bank.

  3. Your signed terms will be returned to you by e-mail from the bank.

4. Your card has been issued and is sent by post to the address you have chosen.

After receiving the card

Set the PIN of your new card by selecting:

• In Piraeus e-banking from the menu Cards > My credit/debit cards. Related services > Set / change PIN and then the card whose PIN you wish to set.
• In the Piraeus app from the "Cards" menu, select your new card and then New PIN > Settings > Set/change PIN.

Activating your card

You can activate your card:

• Via Piraeus e-banking

1. From the menu Maps > My debit cards / My credit cards > Card Activation.
2. Enter the CVV code of the new card and click "Continue".
3. Confirm the details and click "Finish".

• Via Piraeus app

1. From the home screen, select "Cards".
2. Select the debit card you want to activate.
3. Select "Activate".
4. Read the CVV code information and press "Activate".
5. Fill in the CVV code.
6. Confirm activation with the quick login PIN. 

At any Piraeus Bank ATM with the PIN you have specified.
Your card is now active and you can use it for purchases, payments and cash withdrawals from ATMs in Greece and abroad.
