ERGO My Business Liability Restaurant / Cafe insurance is offered in many packages.

You can tailor the insurance plan that suits you, depending on the type of coverage and the amount of compensation you want to include: bodily injury, death, property damage, moral injury, mental anguish and additional cover.

In addition, you can add additional members to your insurance, such as employees of your restaurant or cafe.

ERGO My Business Liability Restaurant / Cafe insurance covers you for damages related to the use, possession and operation of the premises and facilities of your restaurant or café. Indicative: Bodily injury, Death, Property damage, Moral injury, Mental anguish

ERGO My Business Liability Restaurant / Cafe insurance can also cover you for other damages or losses due to negligence, such as:

• Damage to customers' personal belongings that are proven to be due to your own and your employees' negligence. Cell phones, valuables and money are excluded.
• Liability from the fall of illuminated signs or signs mounted on the front of your building if you are held responsible for the fall.
• Liability from fire, explosion and short circuit or rupture of boilers or other pressure vessels. Only bodily injury or death is covered.
• Accidents arising out of the use of the building's elevator, provided the elevator is serviced monthly by a qualified person in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, with a right of action against the contractor or elevator servicer.
• Injuries during loading and unloading within your business premises. Excludes damage to the goods and to the vehicles themselves on or in which the goods are being transported or loaded.
• Damage to third party food poisoning accidents. The undertaking is liable to pay compensation only if there are at least 3 victims of the same event. Liability is excluded for products placed on the market after their expiry date.
• Accidents during maintenance, repair or renovation work on the premises. Applies to a work budget of up to €10,000.
• Damage from umbrellas, provided the umbrellas are propped up on fixed supports.
• Liability for damage to third-party vehicles in your business's parking area due to the operation of the area. Excludes theft, fire, collision, collision or overturning, or destruction or loss of property within the vehicles.

The indemnities of each package are determined according to the level of cover you choose, in accordance with the general and specific terms of your policy.

ERGO My Business Liability Restaurant / Cafe insurance does not cover the following cases:

• Theft or loss of any kind of objects or property of third parties of any form, nature or value
• Damages caused by an event that occurred before the commencement of the insurance
• Liability from the provision of medical services.

All the cases not covered by ERGO My Business Liability Restaurant/Cafe insurance are listed in article 6 of the general terms and conditions of your policy.

1. Precautions to prevent accidents
My Business Liability Restaurant/Cafe insurance covers you only if you take the necessary precautions to prevent accidents or damage and comply with laws and regulations regarding the safety of the public and staff.

2. Fire extinguishing and fire safety measures
The ERGO My Business Liability Restaurant/Cafe insurance covers you only if you take all legal fire extinguishing and fire safety measures on the premises of your business.

3. Fire Coverage
If you already have a fire insurance policy, the Third Party Liability coverage for fire will operate in excess of the limits and coverages of the fire policy. This means that it only covers you for what your other policy does not already cover.

For property damage caused by your fault to the building you are renting, the owners of the building are not considered third parties.
